To encourage the talents of young graduates nationwide, Enterprise Ireland is launching a €500,000 Competitive Start Fund to new businesses and start-ups. If accepted as a successful graduate applicant, you could land up to €50,000 for your business idea to hit the ground running.
Enterprise Ireland will begin accepting applications on Wednesday the 9th of July so now is the time to streamline your idea for the lucrative business you’ve always wanted to establish for yourself. If you’re not entirely sure which idea to submit, applications will be open until 3pm on Wednesday 23rd of July so you have time to get the right team and concept developed before then.
Don’t worry if you’re not entirely fresh out of college either-the only rule is that you’ve graduated from a FETAC NFQ Level 8 qualification in the last three years, and a degree in business is by no means essential.
The idea of the graduate fund is to aid start up and early stage businesses that are looking to launch new products and services in the international marketplace. The fund’s main priority is to provide graduates with the critical early stage funding that will allow graduates to overcome commercial and technical barriers that may prevent their product or service from getting the delivery it deserves.
Applications are encouraged from businesses involved in activities such as Internet, Games, Apps, Mobile, SaaS, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Software, Life Sciences, Food, Cleantech and Industrial Products.
If this sounds like something you’re passionate and have the skills for, full details of the fund, including the application form are available on the Enterprise Ireland website here.
